I changed my cell phone address because I was getting 30+ spam mails a day and it costs money to receive those things. Even though nobody from America ever sends me mail to my phone, my address is "anonymous-does-not-forgive" written in 1337 (all lowercase with digit replacement whenever possible) @ezweb.ne.jp. If you don't know 1337 or can't figure it out, lemme know and I'll let you know.

Sending email to my phone is the fastest way to get ahold of me, but it's pain for me to reply in English (no predictive text). Still if anyone ever needs to get in touch with me quickly for whatever reason, send me a messege and I'll use it like a pager.

Weekend Stuff

Since I want to keep in touch with people in the US but I don't really know what to write on LJ, I think I'm just going to start kind of mirroring my Mixi entries. Sorry if it's boring. At least I'm not running them through Babelfish.

This weekend was pretty busy.

Friday was Somari-tan's birthday party, which I ended up going to since my friends were going even though I'd only met Somari once before. Everyone else was already drunk and heading for karaoke by the time I got there, but I've been trying to cut down on the heavy drinking lately anyway. After karaoke, I went with Saori, Shii, and Hayabusa to a nice quiet izakaya that's really near my house but I'd never been to before.

The next day I got up early and met with Takurou and Kazuki around noon to go see Hiroyuki, which was pretty sweet. Hiroyuki is totally my idol. The man is a fucking flesh and blood embodiment of Anonymous. The people doing the interviewing were obviously not hardcore 2channelers, and some of the questions were kind of trivial. Hiroyuki deflected everything with ease. When the dangers of anonymity on 2ch came to question, he didn't even bother to answer, just pointed out the obvious fact that even on registration messege boards nobody uses their real name anyway, to which there was silence for a good 10 seconds, followed by, "well, yeah, I guess so."

I also found out that Hiroyuki has a girlfriend, but he doesn't want to get married because he doesn't like kids, and that he once ate 100 umai bos (like big Cheetos) in one sitting, but said that his mouth felt really weird. Yeah, those kind of questions.

The highpoint of the event was when the interviewers started reading from a live 2ch thread for questions to ask. Of course, after people realized that the thread was still live and being refreshed on screen, no time was wasted in the posting of a very large and detailed ascii art PENIS, which subsequently appeared on the overhead projector for everyone to see. The girl interviewing turned quite red, it was hilarious.

Also saw Death Note 2, although I liked the first one better.

That's about it for my weekend.

I'll write again when I do.

I'm going to the Tokyo Game Show this weekend. I'll be cosplaying Katsuya again, but this time along with a bunch of other Persona cosplayers. Should be good fun. I get to see the Wii too, yay.

I spent all of yesterday cleaning. And by all I mean ALL, I was cleaning from when I got up in the afternoon to this morning, around 16 hours. In otherwords I haven't slept. The skin on my hands is also all fucked up from the chemicals I was using, and more peely than it usually is.

At least my room is clean.

Para para people, I'm gonna look into getting those videos. I'll let you know when I've gathered more info, it's on my list. I wanna get back into para para.

Hey guys, as some of you have no doubt heard, I am visiting my parents for a month and as such am back in the USA. Since I haven't been reading LJ for ages I don't really know what's going on with all the U of M people, but I'd like to hang out with ya'll sometime soon. Do people still hang out on Sundays? If so lemme know where. If not, we should plan something else at some point, I wanna see all you guys again.

My girlfriend Saori is coming back here from the 28th to the 2nd, which is the week after this coming week, so she'll be tagging along with me during those days for whatever we do. She can speak some English, to be honest I'm not actually sure how good she is because we always speak Japanese but from what I've seen she can hold her own pretty well. I wanna take her to the MoA, State Fair, maybe Valley Fair, etc., whatever interesting stuff we can find around here. We are also planning to go the Ren Fest that Saturday before she leaves(the 2nd, two weeks from today), so if anyone is free to come along that day (or already has plans to go), that'd be rad.

Again, I'm pretty much free all the time, especially weekdays. I did not bring my computer or anything else to do back with me, so if I'm not hanging out with people I will end up just sitting at home on my parents' crappy computer browsing /b/, which is not how I want to spend my summer break. So lemme know what's going on. I'll be on LJ regularly from now on, at least until I go back to Japan.

In unrelated news, I saw Snakes on a Plane opening night. It was everything I hoped it would be.

Especially you, god_osyris, this seems like something you would like.

Oh, and for great justice:

Check this out, they use an ad for a maid cafe to lure otaku down a back ally in Akihabara where a girl is getting harassed, and then see how many of them actually help out like Densha Otoko. It's actually quite interesting.

Okay, since a lot of people have been bugging me, especially my mom, to post pictures, I will post them.

First of all here are some pics from when I went to Disney Sea with the <s>ducks</s> elementary schoolers that I teach English to:

Next here are the pics that appeared in Popeye from one of my modeling jobs:

Last, here are pics of my new apartment.

Before:

After:

^Note the Dirty Banana's new important role of hanging from the light cord so I can reach it from my bed.

Now before you people coming over here start freaking out that ZOMG THERES NO FLOORSPACE do keep in mind that the kotatsu (yes, it's a working kotatsu, it rocks) is meant to be slept under. I suggest a layout like this

with two people on the bed, or if the that's too cramped then we can have someone sleep with their feet facing out towards the genkan. It's really a lot bigger than it looks in these pics, or at least, it's a lot bigger than my dorm was. Just think anime con, and it won't seem that bad at all. And remember to bring MY blankets and sleeping bags, not your own. Go get some from my parent's house and bring them over here, I need more bedding to stuff under my kotatsu.
